Tying into a Baseline

In this method you tie buildings sides or estate bounderies into a baseline.
This method can be used when you measure in a  given frame
(estate bounderies) or created grid (baselines).

Advantages:

This method is only used in connection with other surveying   procedures, mostly with the orthogonal method (chain offset). An independent surveying measure is not tolerable.

A further calculation of areas is possible only with help   of map distances.

Disadvantages:

Simple distance measuring instruments are utilisable.

With an existing frame you can easily make a  supplement surveing.
